Enliven your spirits, your bar, and your West Coast cocktail repertoire with these six made in California bottles!
Enjoy San Diego's Old Harbor Distilling gin, brimming with cool cucumber and luscious lime, incredibly invigorating with a splash of tonic. Ventura Spirits of L.A. distills their vodka from "ugly strawberries" to create a soft and silky spirit with so much character we sip it solo. Head north for Sonoma County Distilling's West of Kentucky Cherrywood-Smoked Bourbon. Infused with a wisp of smoke alongside maraschino cherry, allspice, and vanilla; we can't help but think Manhattan-in-a-bottle. Venus Spirits of Santa Cruz distills a bold and bright "tequila" style spirit from organic blue weber agave, lots of juicy stone-fruit and citrus flavors that'll have you passing on the salt. St George from the Oakland side of the Bay Bridge has created an alternative to Campari - with bracing bitterness, notes of California-grown Seville oranges, and a savory woodsiness thanks to balsam fir and rosemary. Finish with Lo-Fi Sweet Vermouth from Napa, crafted with a local white wine base that has been fortified with sherry, rhubarb, cocoa, clove, cardamom, orange oil, and vanilla.
What to mix up? How about an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Americano, Negroni, Boulevardier, Agavoni, G&T, Vodka Soda, Bee's Knees, Whiskey Sour, Tommy's Margarita, or Gimlet.
