Amaro di Angostura is derived from the process used in creating the Angostura’s iconic bitters. Bottled at 35%, a deep amber color, aromas of cinnamon, dark chocolate and unmistakeable aromatic bitters. Warm cinnamon and licorice notes with a lush finish.

Best Mixer with Bourbon EVER!

Amaro Di Angostura is the second best thing you can add to a glass of Bourbon after a big chunk of Ice. It has all the yummy herbs and spices used to make Angostura Bitters but with no Gentian to make it bitter. While I can appreciate bitter elements in a cocktail, sometimes I want a non bitter cocktail. Amaro Di Angostura allows me to include the delicious flavor of Angostura Bitters in a Liqueur format when I want a sweet flavor profile instead of bitter. My favorite way to use Amaro Di Angostura to make my signature cocktail "The King" (Because it is the king of cocktails) Stir with Ice in a mixing glass: 2 oz. Bourbon 1/2 oz. Amaro Di Angostura 1/2 oz. Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur (A dash of Bitter Queens Tobacco Bitters is a nice addition) Serve in a double old fashioned glass over a fat chunk, cube or sphere of Ice Garnish with healthy slabs of orange and lemon rind on opposite sides of the ice, after spritzing that side of the glass with oils from the rind. Drink from each side noting how the flavor differs depending on the influence of the citrus oils.
